Getting Started With Twitter

Twitter, ContractorsA few weeks ago, we shared with you  why you should have a Twitter page for your business in our post, “Why Use Twitter?”  But more importantly, your dealership should have a Twitter page because your customers are on it, and they are searching for industry-related businesses, like your dealership, to follow and interact with. In fact, 53% of Twitter-using contractors follow at least one industy-related source on Twitter and ⅓ of contractors tweet on a weekly basis.

Below are a few highlights from the “Why Use Twitter?” post that we want to remind you about.

  • You can stay connected with others in the industry and be up to date on any industry news, such as manufacturer news, competitor happenings, and market trends that can affect your dealership.
  • You can stay in front of potential customers by posting short, informative updates in real-time, which keeps them engaged and wanting more from your dealership.
  • You can address customer feedback, break news, and announce sales all in a quick, 140-character update, which keeps you relevant with your followers.

If you haven’t had a chance to set up a Twitter page, we want to share with you a quick 6-step guide to getting started on Twitter. Click on the image below to get started, and if you have any questions, you can always leave a comment or reach out to us!
