Employee Spotlight: Zach Williams
It’s time to introduce you to another new employee! Today, meet Zach Williams, who is one of our Digital Marketing Advisers. Zach’s job is to educate our dealers on how their digital presence can increase their business.
My name is Zach Williams, I was born and raised in Hampton Roads, Virginia. I went to Virginia Tech and Old Dominion University, but GO HOKIES when it comes time for football. I recently got married to my beautiful bride Tina in Mexico last summer. I enjoy riding my road bike, hanging out with friends around a fire pit on the weekends, and am always down for going wine tasting.
I have been here at CWS for just about two months so far. I actually started on my birthday March 14th, good omen for things to come I hope. I am a Digital Marketing Advisor, which to me means it’s my responsibility to educate and ensure each dealer I talk to knows how best to leverage their digital presence to accomplish their business goals.
2. What is one piece of advice you have learned since starting?
I have two things that have shaped my thinking in a different way than any sales role I have had before. One being, always place the dealer’s true needs first; my primary goal is to educate them first and then sales will follow. Two, it is OK to say “I don’t know”. Having that ability allows me to be respected on another level from the dealer and I can research (ask my teammates) and get back to them with the correct answer.
3. What is your greatest accomplishment thus far at CWS?
I have to give credit to most of the team for this accomplishment as everyone played a role. I was able to complete the Digital Marketing Advisor training in just 3 weeks instead of the normal 6-8. Traction seen so far has been many GoSocial demos and presentations, with the first sale soon to come.
4. What is your favorite part about working at CWS?
The Team! It really is a family here, and I can not say how much of a difference it is from where I came from. I love that I can truly ask anyone for help and they will hands down. And, it’s a major bonus not having to wear a full suit everyday to work, my dry cleaning bill is gone!
