Employee Spotlight: Kim Parrish

It’s time to introduce you to our second employee of the quarter, Kim Parrish!

kimparrishemployeespotlightKim is a Client Services Representative here at CWS. In her role, she guides dealers through the creation of their website, as well as helping them maintain it as changes are needed. Kim was recently awarded Dominion Web Solutions’ Circle of Excellence Award, an award given to customer services professionals nominated for outstanding performance in their role. Kim has done an outstanding job over the past year in working specifically with our clients who are redesigning their websites, she has actually completed more redesigns than any of her other coworkers this year. We are so proud of the hard work she’s put into completing these projects with her dealers and the difference she makes here at CWS.

Sarah: First Kim, tell us a little about yourself.

Kim: I grew up in Madison Heights, VA, and moved to the Norfolk area after visiting for two weeks; I’ve been here for 19 years now! I graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Human Services Counseling. I enjoy traveling, wine tasting, eating seafood and Caribbean food. My favorite movies are The Sound of Music, Bridget Jones’ Diary, and Purple Rain. I love the Dallas Cowboys, and I am passionate about community service -which I do with my organization, Order of the Eastern Stars. A fun fact about me is that I lived on Shemya Island, an island off of Alaska which was only 4×2.5 miles, for a whole year.

Sarah: How long have you been with CWS and what is your current role?

Kim: I have been with CWS since 2014, but have worked within Dominion Enterprises for ten years now. I currently serve as a Client Services Representative.

Sarah: What is one piece of advice you want your dealers to know?

Kim: I would like our dealers to understand that everyone at CWS works as a team to make sure we’re meeting their needs, none of us operate alone. It is always a team effort and that’s how we solve their problems best.

Sarah: What has been your greatest accomplishment at CWS so far?

Kim: My greatest accomplishment thus far at CWS was going back to school to learn basic coding and completing that training. It was something that I never thought I would be able to do, but am so glad that CWS supported me in getting this done. Now, having accomplished this, I am able to assist customers at a greater aptitude because I understand the back end of their website to a greater extend.

Sarah: What is your favorite thing about working at CWS?

Kim: I enjoy making our dealers’ business lives a little easier. Our dealers are so busy running their brick-and-mortar businesses, so if there is a way that I can relieve some of their stress and solve some of their problems, I will make it happen! All of our dealers are individuals and have different needs, so figuring out how to meet their unique needs is always fun.

We thank you, Kim for being a stellar example of what our client services are all about. We congratulate you on your achievements in 2016 and look forward to seeing what you accomplish in 2017!
