3 Things You Should Add to Your Social Strategy

As social media continues to lead in online marketing for businesses, it’s important to keep up-to-date on the new tools available to enhance your business pages. It seems like every day there are new advancements released on Facebook, in particular, that can help you take your dealership’s page to the next level.

You might think your current social strategy is already working out, so why change it? But constantly evaluating how you can better it will keep your dealership in stride with others, ensuring your pages don’t get stale.

Here are three simple areas you can enhance on your social media profiles that sets you apart from your competitors.

  • Use a Video Cover Image: Facebook has enabled users to upload a video in place of a cover photo on their business pages. Visitors to your page is immediately drawn to the cover photo because it’s the first thing they will see. Switching it up from a stagnant image to a video will undoubtedly keep them engaged a bit longer and possibly interest them in checking out some of your other content. One of our dealers that decided to do this a few months back is DTI Trucks. Check out the cover video on their Facebook page here.
  • Invest in Paid Advertisements: It’s shocking how little can go a long way, particularly with Facebook advertising. You don’t have to spend your entire marketing budget here in order to see results. Even boosting a post you’d like to get in front of your followers more for $10 can see a significant increase in impressions and link clicks. You can start off small, see your results and then build from there!
  • Add Messenger Chatbot: Facebook has also enabled the ability for a Messenger Chatbot to appear when someone visits your Facebook business page. This functions a lot like Livechat on a website, where customer service is immediately available 24/7 to answer any questions the visitor may have. However, it doesn’t just function as a customer service tool. The Messenger Chatbot can also be customized to provide followers who have opted in to receive information with relevant promotions and news about your dealership.
